For years, I've desperately wanted to go to Paris. I've made two failed attempts. The last nearly broke my heart - I never made my flight. Luckily for me, third time's a charm.
Finally, after all those years of wanderlust, I booked my flights and flew across the Atlantic to the most romantic city - alone.
If you've ever considered a solo trip, even for a second, you probably understand my hesitation.
This was my very first solo trip. I didn't know what to expect. Except that I would be alone.
"I'll be alone." It was a sobering thought.
But I knew this was something I needed to do. A solo trip was on my bucket list and what better place to do it than Paris.
. . . . .
Yeah yeah. Okay. Fine. Yes. Paris is one of the most romantic cities in the world. Miss Bang, why on earth would you ever want to go there alone?
I've had an ongoing love affair with France for years. This way no one could interrupt this insatiable romance. So, why wouldn't I go alone? Yes, traveling alone meant stepping out of my comfort zone and wandering around commando (get your head out of the gutter, I mean sans friendly company), but it also meant this epic adventure was entirely my own and I would be its sole author.
So, now that I've traveled on alone, what did I think?
I loved it.
Paris was more enchanting than I thought possible
When they say Paris is the most romantic city in the world, they don't mean for just couples. Paris IS romantic.
She sweeps you off your feet in a way that no other city ever could. She reels you in with her beauty and woos you with her charm and some of the most delicious food that will ever grace your lips.
Everywhere you look is a cinematic moment to remember.
Paris is a must-see destination to cross of your wanderlist.
